Travis on the mic!

Our old Remix Resources page have been spruced up a bit. We've moved the tracks to Soundcloud.

The actual resources page on our site is now a bunch of soundcloud embeds. There are also .ZIP files for downloading all the sounds at once, which Soundcloud doesn't allow. You can download individual tracks from the Soundcloud embeds if that's what floats your goat.

One cool thing about this is that "regular folks" can just go over and listen to the raw tracks. Which I think is a pretty interesting experience.

Unlike checking the lyrics for our expanded discography section, which involved listening to our entire catalog in one fell swoop and made me want to stick forks in my eyes because I don't like listening to myself, this was a lot of fun. It's crazy to hear some of the really buried elements in close focus, since of course I'd long forgotten about them... and also to marvel at some of the really inspired things we all did. I'd say my favorites were Eric's bass on "What Do You Want Me To Say?" and Jason's keyboards on "The Face of The Earth," which still spook me out after all these years. It sounds like mystery signals on shortwave radio, like The Conet Project.

Hopefully when the new record is done we'll be sure to post some new tracks to play with, marvel at, cringe in embarrassment at, and so on. And if you do a remix, don't be hide your light under a bushel. Post it on Soundcloud or YouTube and send us a link. Tweet at us or post on our Facebook page or email us or whatever.

Thanks!
